ELECTION BALLOT SAFETY EXPLAINER:

ABC's Deputy Political Director MaryAlice Parks reports on the controversy over mail-in voting this year. President Trump has called into question the validity of states to safely handle mail-in voting, casting doubts on that method of voting, and saying mail-in ballots will be used to “rig” the election. But the President, himself, has used mail-in voting in the primary this year to cast his vote in Florida, and state election leaders--including many Republicans—are responding by telling voters they have safely processed mail-in ballots for years, and are reassuring Americans that if they choose to mail in their votes amid the coronavirus pandemic, they can have confidence that their votes will count. ELECTION RESULTS DELAYED THIS YEAR?

ABC's Deputy Political Director MaryAlice Parks reports on the very real possibility that the final result of the election this year could be delayed by the unprecedented numbers of voters casting their ballots by mail, and the various ways states will count those ballots. SENIORS ELECTION PREFERENCE PACKAGE:

ABC's Zohreen Shah reports on the battle for senior voters in this year’s Presidential race. During Donald Trump's successful run for the presidency in 2016, seniors-- the most reliable voting bloc in the country-- were key to his come from behind victory. But during his run for reelection in 2020, a number of seniors appear to have soured on the president after his first term in office, with several polls showing him trailing behind former Vice-President Joe Biden. Debriefs from Election Night HQ: We will offer on-camera debriefs featuring our correspondents who will be at Trump and Biden Election Night headquarters (Alex Presha at Trump HQ and Marci Gonzalez at Biden HQ). We will offer three different items:

A combined debrief of approximately 1:30 in length. This debrief will begin with Alex Presha reporting from Trump HQ, then throwing to Marci Gonzalez reporting from Biden HQ. NewsOne will edit this debrief together.
A standalone debrief of approximately 0:45 in length from Alex Presha at Trump HQ ending with Alex saying “Alex Presha, ABC News, Washington.”
A standalone debrief of approximately 0:45 in length from Marci Gonzalez at Biden HQ ending with Marci saying “Marci Gonzalez, ABC News, Wilmington, Delaware.”

To help with what we expect will be a very busy Election Day and Night with a lot of live feeds, we are adding two additional Live Channels to our Live Channel service for the period around Election Day.

Starting on Friday, October 30, we will add Live Channels 5 and 6 to our available service.

Stations will be able to use their existing TVu transceivers to select Live Channels 5 or 6 just as you currently can select Live Channels 1 through 4 now.

For monitoring our Live Channels, you will be able to monitor all 6 Live Channels from your TVU Gridlink account. Please note that you will NOT be able to monitor these two additional sources on the front page of NewsOneNET.

Here is a breakdown of how we generally plan to program our Live Channels on Election Night. But PLEASE NOTE, we may put feeds on any Live Channel throughout the night based on timing and the amount of feeds happening at any given time.

Live Channel 2: Various live feeds (Joe Biden live Election Night speech will be here)
