NEW ABC SLACK CHANNEL TO MONITOR AND SHARE ELECTION DAY VOTING ISSUES AND INFORMATION

 

Looking ahead to what will be a historic election night, ABC News wants to collaborate with our stations as we gather news from locations across the country.

 

While we all want to have a smooth election, we want to be ready for any issues that may arise.

 

We know our stations may have the best intel when it comes to election issues.  How can we all stay in contact with each other on election night?

 

We have established a new Slack channel called “abc_news_voting” that is now available to all our ABC stations and our ABC News staff working on Election Day.

 

It is available in our current ABC Slack group.

 

This channel is the place to send ABC information about voting irregularities, legal challenges, ballot issues, long lines, recounts, general polling location issues, etc.  ABC will also be sending similar information that we get throughout the day to this channel.

  

We want to let you know what we are hearing and what we are reporting in real time so you can report this information.  We can also help you investigate and work to confirm any issues you may find in your market.
