Widgets Available for Station Websites

ABC NEWS WIDGETS AVAILABLE FOR YOUR WEBSITE ON ELECTION DAY

STATIONS:

ABC News along with FiveThirtyEight will have several widgets available that can be used on your station’s branded websites on Election Day. These widgets will all be linked to real-time results so that users can know the state of all races at any given minute.

We are offering 5 different widgets for your use on Election Day. You can use any or all of them.

All the embed code are developed to be responsive in width. We are providing our embeds at width 100%in order for them to be mobile-friendly.

Information about the embed code for each widget in this advisory will be provided after the graphic for each widget.

In addition, ABC News is also making available embed code for the ABC News broadcast coverage of Election Night from 7:00 pm ET through 4:00 am ET. The embed code for that live stream is available at the end of this advisory.

1. National Map

Includes up-to-date election results from around the country. Users can see which candidate gets the most Electoral Votes. Users will also be able to link directly to all state level results on the ABC News website.

The National Map includes the following features:

Presidential electoral vote count and map view of results
Senate seat results and map view of results
House seat results and map view of results
Governor seat results and map view of results
Hovercards displaying incoming votes
Link to individual state pages on ABCNews.com

Balance of power for President, Senate and House will be available as a standalone embed for affiliates.

3. State Results Page Widget

Up-to-date results on a state level will be available. Affiliates can customize their page by showing race results from their selected state.

This results widget includesPresident,Senate,House, and Governorlevel races.

NOTE: YOU MAY ONLY SHOW ONE STATE ON YOUR WEBSITE. YOU MAY NOT SHOW MULTIPLE STATES ON YOUR WEBSITE.

Please note for all state embeds the following disclaimer needs to be added to the bottom of the page:

*Counties are colored red or blue when the % expected vote reporting reaches a set threshold. This threshold varies by state and is based on patterns of past vote reporting and expectations about how the vote will report this year

4. Recent Projection Feed (This is named "Races to Watch" on the dropdown menu)

NEW for this year, a feed of recent projected calls of significant races that ABC News is monitoring. The feed includes up-to-date real-time info on poll closing times, President, Senate, select House, and Governor races.
